Please can soeody more knowledgable clear this up for me.

I looked into Truvelo cameras and was under the impression that they measured the motion over the white lines on the road.

The reason I am interested,I accelerated past a tractor I was stuck behind yesterday (for 3 miles).
I may well have been above the limit for a short period 100 metres after the white lines, also I was on the other side of the road.
I beleive I will be Ok.
Disapointing to have to be concerned really, I saw the camera and overtook on a clear road and once past was back well inside the defined speed limit.

Nope..the sensors in the road before the white lines..

Usually about 10-15 feet before the camera...Black lines across the lane..

The camera will also 'flash' at you..even forward facing ones..

Many thanks for the heads up...it sounds like i will be ok. The camera effect has made me especially cautious since the incident.
