Is there anything out there to tell me how my headlamps should be adjusted?

I don't mean how to adjust the beams rather what range of values is acceptable.

I found this www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/publications/headlight%20aim.pdf

but it only goes so far as to get both your beams level when measured 24" from a wall. How 'high' up the wall can your beams shine?

This probably won’t help. But a useful like all the same.

That does give it, the angle must be 0.5 % below horizontal for dip beam. I assume a figure between lets say 2.5 and 0.5 is acceptable. My personal method is to ensure that the beam 'edge' is no higher than the bottom edge of the light when about 12 feet away from the wall. This ensures a downwards slant without it being severe.
