unbelieveable....this wekdn was having lunch with magistrate.....who was doijg traffic court last week. One thing which amsued me greatly was that at one point the clerk stood up to read out the next case, stopped, and said

"Oh, this will have to be returned, it's obviously a mistake"
"What is it?" asked the court chair
"Apparently a skoda court doing 126 mph on the motorway - that can't be possible"

cue much laughing from around the court and the case gets binned......

I was absolutely amazed! And felt the ene to correct said person as to the fact that skodas are rather diferent nowadays.

So...you wanna sped with impunity? get an Octavia RS and do ONLY really silly speeds!

It makes a good story but I can hardly belive that cases would be binned like that on the whim of the clerk.

er...well considering the magistrate in question is my elderly mother...and i KNOW she isn't lying, Im afraid that is exactly what happens....

Clerks with whims do direct magistrates to convict people who have good cases to answer as well.
