The 'way to make money lot' are winning it seems. But the reason for this is that you tend to get more people thinking that than don't.
They have obviously asked the wrong question, as most people support cameras - apparently!
What they should have asked is.....
'is it untrue not to avoid saying that in many instances not using cameras which are placed where they might not raise money perhaps isn't a bad idea?'
Then whatever the answer you can say they have full support.
(I bet a PHer actually works that out!)

One thing to note about these votes is that the webmaster can see the refering website i.e. where you linked to their website from.

I think we should copy and paste these regular voting links into our browsers rather than have a load of Pistonheads referals listed.

Going to do just that right now!

Speed cameras are primarily (or at least as much) about SAVING money; ie they don't bother with expensive patrols any more. How many marked and unmarked cars do you find taking an interest in you compared to 10 years ago?

A policeman can judge if you are driving like a twat, a camera can't.

If you know where the cameras are you may prefer this of course, but I don't think that this makes our roads safer, except in the 50 yards past the camera (in the 50 yards before it, expect excessive braking by numpties already under the posted limit.)

But something needs to happen to stop 10 people a day, every day, being killed. Just don't think cameras are the answer. (But I'd like one in OUR village ! Hmm)

....saving money? Do you know that one scamera costs between £30k to £300k (the latter figure for SPECS). Scameras are big business.
