Oh dear, this is going to be fun.
DVLA trying to be slick? Bit like putting Prescott in charge of the country.
Think this one through.....
Renew online on the 1st of the month.
Tax disc takes 5 working days to arrive.
During those 5 days, you're legal, but the traffic warden doesn't know. You get a fixed penalty through the post. You waste a day, or three, banging Mr DVLA's head against the office wall to get justice.
I know these things.
I've been there......so has my son.
And that was after renewing at a Post Office and (me) losing disc same day (DVLA advised same day) and (son) renewing on day 1 and displaying disc.
