Can some-one give me some advice please? to three questions.
I've posted before about being threatened by car driver in front panicing and reversing into another car. I've been sent a summons for due and attention and failing to stop at an accident, but my insurance is due on Sept 9th and my first court attendance isn't until Sept 21st what do I tll my insurance company? Will they insure me with a failing to stop summons being issued against me?

My solicitor is going to court for me on the date they put on the summons cos he said all that was needed was some-one there to represent me. He also said that when he speaks to the proscetor the charges for failing to stop may be dropped, is this normal procedure?

When I reported the accident to the police and that I was the victim of a road rage attack I thought they would investigate the incident, all they've done is charge me. So when I asked the PC who interviewed me about the case of me reversing into the car behind (minor damge)about what has happened to the road rage man he said nothing but if I wanted to make I statement I could but I would have to get all the details myself from thr traffic police and to be honest was not helpful at all. I now feel that as a motorist I am an easy touch but as soon as I want to report threatening behaviour it all changes. I intend to pursue a case against the road rage man (police have all his details) should I start again with a diferent PC as the one who charged me obviously isn't going to help.
Sorry about the long and rambling post!

Can't help with the police, but you will have to declare the pending summons to your insurance company or your cover will be void. I'm guessing they'll load the premium, and would hope they'd refund it if/when you're found not guilty but that would be something you'd have to check with them.

Just go into a police station and ask to speak with a police officer. It needn't be the one that you've already dealt with..

Best of luck

Innocent until proven guilty. Keep your gob shut until/unless that point is reached.

I'm assuming you've already mentioned about the reversing into somebody bit.
