Hello all,

Just a quick query on parking tickets issued by the local council – is there anything in the small print/T&C’s which states that a specific amount of time should be given before a ticket is issued? i.e. from the time the car is seen until the ticket is issued.

Look forward to hearing your views.

Thanks smile

There is no set figure. It will depend on:
a) What the contravention is - for some the observation period is zero.
b) Which LA issued the PCN - each one sets its own rules.
Where did you receive yours?

Thanks for the reply.

It was issued by Coventry City Council whilst parked in their new roadside meter scheme. The ticket was issued 9 minutes after the car was seen.

That sounds more than reasonable based on some of the experiences posted on here.

Nine minutes is more than enough time to buy a ticket. Pay up OP.
