Bugger. Perhaps they should put an honesty box there.

Perhaps a load of blank NIPS you can fill in to let them know you were speeding..... 'cos most people do anyway as the cameras are generally placed at a site thats safe to speed anyway!

Everyone agree's with them so its just better to have a nice traffic cop sitting in a box by the side of the road, when you exceed the limit you pull over and confess what you have done. You will then have to say 10 hail gatso's and be on your way.

The gatsos are going down ( or up in smoke ) faster than ever.

Observations

1 There seems to eb a conspiracy to keep this out of the press
2 Someone soon is going to hit a Talivan

Get ready for what?

The next one?

Face it, lives are being ruined for the sake of four minor indiscretions.....licence lost, job lost, mortgage arrears, house lost, family split.

Do you really think there aren't going to be desperate bods who feel the need to hit back against this disgraceful rubbish?

Bound to happen......

And why should 'the perps' have to 'get ready'?

If my car gets torched, you issue a crime number and nothing happens.

So, what's the difference between my car and a talivan?

At the moment...Gatso damage has been largely undetected and non-sensitive to police officers.

However, police officer who work talivans and come 'under attack' will deal with it like any 'assault' on the police; ie: seriously, very seriously.

Propose that talivans are taken out when off duty - no confrontation with scamvan operator necessary. Find out where they are parked and then, coincidentally, a freak fire starts destroying them all....

Much as I hate both camera's and vans alike, Streets got a point. Most police don't like the camera's and are not that bothered about seeing em out of action.

BUT damage to people is much more serious and don't tell me the police won't look after their own (mind you what is the BiB attitiude towards their mates how sit in the back of those vans?) but there are other ways and means of disabling a vehicle without damage to the occupier.

I totally support any form of action against Gatso's etc. The more that are taken out of service, the better. I would never condone anything that harmed a

I bet scam vans are never left unattended anyway

Why do sites with pictures of Gatsos that have been blown up always say they've been blown up "with dynamite"? I can think of any number of explosives that are easier to get hold of or make than dynamite.

Good point about the dynamite: I thought most aerosol propellants are highly flammable? Don't they use butane as a propellant these days instead of CFCs? WD40 is particularly flammable, if I remember one particularly silly afternoon spent in a pub garden...

I've often wondered why people don't use cans of expanding foam to stop the cameras. It's a nightmare to get off: I got some on my arm and it took ages to clean. Amazing stuff, really.
