Having a bad day
Discussion
there's just no pleasing these
first they want us not to speed then you get
at for stopping too quickly. I like that though can you image running into the back of someone and putting on the claim form "the other driver stopped too quickly and I decide to drive into the back of their car to prove the point"
much damage to the cars? who's came off worst the volvo or the jamjar?
anyway at least you both came out unscathed.

someone tried saying I stopped to quickly in snow at traffic lights.
I pointed out my car was built in 1964 (the older of my two MG's) and the chances of my brakes being better than a 2001 MX5's was remote on the best. They finaly put there thinking cap on and decided that I was probably right

Idiot policeman ran into the back of my new Volvo today and had a go at ME for stopping too quickly - tosser! I've got a couple of independants so he's for the high jump!!
I shall also play the whiplash card (I've been to casualty) and get the bastard done for due care!!
Take it all the way dude, i am sure that he would if it were the other way....
Sorry St
et al but the long arm of the law can and usually is quite vindictive. I have experience of this...gh0st said:

No need to be sorry. I expect the offending officer will be properly 'right royally shafted' by both discipline and a court!

Good - one would hope so.
"Stopping too quickly" eh?? What was my dear wife saying on another thread yesterday - lots of hot air blown over that.
It is simple - you drive along assuming that the bloke in front may see hazard and emergency stop for it. this family call it driving with COAST.

Do officers automatically go to court if they have a minor driving offense like this while on duty?

wouldn't have given a civilian in his position any lee-way gone said:
