HI I was just wondering if that loophole had been closed where you admit driving but don't sign the response on the grounds that you don't have to incriminate yourself or something along those lines?

I know loads of people got away with this before but does it still work?

one PHer tried it recently, can't remember the thread.

He got (I think) a £750 fine for his trouble.

sorry mate, my bro works for a camera partnership, if you check any camera partnership website it tells you there that you cannot get away with it and when it goes to court 99% are prosecuted and face a ban and a big fine!!

Whilst it is true that the Francis case has welded the loophole shut, do not believe all you read on safety camera "partnership" web sites. I have written to many regarding FAQ pages and informed them they are telling porkies. It is amazing how many change them when faced with the idea of their superior officers receiving a letter to tell them as much!

you will probably get a larger fine, costs and an MS90 on your licence instead of an SP**

An SP code is a 10% insurance raise, an MS code is a 25-33% raise.

Are you sure it was you driving?

OK

FACT: The loophole has been closed following the Francis case in the high court.

FACT: Scamera Partnerships are collectively lieing, cheating thieving bar stewards to whom the term "Highway Robbery" applies 100%.

Visit www.pepipoo.com to see the current situation and what the options are.

Remember the scumera partnerships will do anything to protect their revenue streams including bad, misleading and downright crap legal "advice" about what you can and can not do.

They ARE operating illegally and know it.

[quote=the master]face a ban /quote]

What he actually means is, nobody has been banned for failing to sign.

You just get points (sometimes more than 3) and a larger fine.

More half lies from the scammers.

It does not necessarily increase your insurance premium either. Whether your premium increases is down to your previous record and the company you're with. for example, and this is from my broker, if you have 6 points and get more, your premium will be likely to rise, the actual amount depending on what the previous points were for and whether a loss causing accident happened.
Many insurance companies are not increasing premiums until you get your third camera offence. If you have, say, 15 years plus NCD then 6 pointys would be very unlikely to increase your premium as you are exactly the sort of customer they like.

Remember to always tell your insurance company the moment you get points or they can void your policy or pay significantly less in the event of a claim...
