pretty comical really, the dubious statistic they themselves quote shows that it would be a lot more productive for the gorup to tackle the further 75% of accidents that by their own admission have nothing whatsoever to do with with speed!!

Because unfortunately in life there have always been people like this. Luckily up until now it has proven expensive and difficult for them to show their ignorant and stupid opinions that are there just to gain moral high ground and seem important. They usually have boring little lives and would have been so much happier had Hitler of won and we all lived in a perfect age of blonde haired blue eyed people that grass on each other.

Unfortunately the internet has given them a voice and they are always there to bleat out something that the government says because then it fills their little void.

I actually believe that if the government started a policy that daisys kill, these same people would suddenly appear from nowhere again "oh yes we have always known this blah blah blah...."

Give them the contempt they deserve and let them get on with their little crusade. In the meantime, arm yourself

"In the past 36 months in Buckinghamshire, excessive speed was a contributory factor in at least 25 per cent of all crashes where someone was killed or seriously injured."

Sorry should that not read "speed was one of the smaller contributory factors in at least 25 per cent of all crashes where someone was killed or seriously injured. Inattention being the main cause.""

Hmmm - and people wonder why Council Tax goes up.

In addition to a "Senior Safer Roads Officer" I wonder how many Junior Safer Roads Officers there are? And presumably there's at least a Director of Safer Roads if not even an Executive Director of Safer Roads.

Yet another pointless local government jobsworth with a nice inflation proofed pension just waiting to be collected.

I just called these weird people.

1. When asked about drink driving, the response was 'It's not our problem, the police deal with that'
2. When asked about KSI's increasing even with more Gatso's/Truvello's, she dodged the question.
3. When asked about MOT failiers (ie the Truck that killed Mr Williams), that was up to the DoT, not them.
4. Bad driving, was not their problem, it's the Police's problem to sort out.
5. They assure me that they send out information to newspapers about all types of safety, it's just that the papers pick up the speeding ones and highlight them more.
6. Agree children should have better road sense education
7. Uninsured drivers= Police
8. Joyriders = Police

Safer roads my arse.

top notch there Gazboy!

I was gonna call them earlier (from work of course, government phone ) and ask similar questions.

Somehow I thought they may react like that
