Following a bus today I noticed the local safety camera partnership advertising on the back, which stated that every accident can cost the local NHS £100,000 which could pay for 3 heart transplants. Now nobody wants to see death on the roads, a close friend of mine was killed a few years back, but I thought if the NHS saves all this money by there being no deaths on the roads where will they get the donor organs from to transplant? Another well thought out statement form the camera partnerships!

I work for the NHS and have yet to see any proof for these figures quoted.

No, you won't.

The figure was £1.5 million last week.

Load of rubbish.

IIRC the government introduced the scheme making the insurance refund the NHS for RTC related costs, therefore it is total twaddle, the motorist pays anyway.

They don't give up do they?...trying to create a simple link between speed and accidents, hoping I guess, that people will let the message sink in to the subconscious before it has any chance to be given careful thought.
