No.

"As well as the saw attacks, speed cameras in the Borders have regularly been set on fire - with 19 such incidents since 2004"

Been that shape for a while.

Police are treating it as theft, vandalism and attempting to pervert the course of justice

Everything now is apparently an attempt to pervert the course of justice

if they do it wearing masks or hoods and gloves do they get charged with it again ?

I bet those sneeky fkers wait till the sun goes down and no one is about as well to give themselves a tactical advantage, is that an offence too?

If they suspected the arsonists had been caught by that camera then yes, it's a clear attempt to PCOJ because it would be destroying the evidence of an offence stored on the camera...

Well to take up arms against an oppressive regime with no mandate for this nonsense is pretty difficult. Particularly when the regime is pump priming anti car organisations such as Brake et al

clap

Yes in a sensible society having commited the offense people should immediately give themselves up biggrin

I just wonder what will happen when someone gets elecrocuted. Will they be able to sue the state in the ECHR for putting a dangerous speed camera there?

Simple solution to a potential danger. I'd suggest that the power goes via the metal post adjacent to camera. It's called a safety camera. Without power it would be an even safer camera .
