The Southampton Echo will be running a story in tonights edition - "Man dies in Police pursuit." This is not quite true. Car was driving erratically and was pulled over. When the BiB got out of his car, the car sped off and lost the BiB. A few minutes later the car hit another car (occupants OK), rolled and one occupant died and the other is critical. Terrible.

What the paper won't say, is that the two persons in the the car were erm.... lets say that despite being fond of caravans, they were not members of the Caravan Club.

if Im right in my translation of your post, that the people to be injured wer in the persued vehicle (and not the innocent other vehicle), then I couldnt give a toss (gets ready for the nannying sector of pistonehads to tell me off for daring to say some people deserve everything they get)

If you hadnt ever persued em, and the next thing they'd done was do a bank job and shot nice old George the security man who'd been there for 3o years, the press would maul you for 'what do the police think they're doing'....and now...you'll just get mauled for doing your job!

Never let the facts get in the way of a good story....

If someone is willing to steal a car then if they happen to die then it is a consequence of the life that they chose.

Bad luck, punch out early...

We had one of them in Sussex a few years ago. The funeral was a nightmare.

I'm amazed they died...I've never known one die before....

They get stabbed, shot...you name it and still manage to fight with their brothers in A&E...

If the one in Hemel Hempstead a few years back is anything to go by, about a million people turn up.

And the associated surge in crime is entirely coincidental...

Pity it cant be used as an opportunity to let the RAF have a play with a 1000 pound bomb or two...

But if they all come to funeral at least other parts of the country will be free of them for a few days.
