Sneaky Scamera!

On my little jolly this morning to the post office to tax my car, the route takes me past a Gatso on a half mile stretch of road, My B2 alerts me as usual and procceed to pass Gatso at correct velocity. Now a few yards after the stripes in the road it suddenly goes mental! LASER! LASER!
The road turns to the left a bit and goes down hill, i am scanning the area and see nothing
so carry on my way.
On the return route i look out again and to my surprise there is the van parked up in a carpark behind a high hedge directly opposite the Gatso!
It first looked to me as if they catching people going over the crest and to the right towards them, but it also dawned on me they maybe trying to catch the people accelerating away from the Gatso
So my question is this, Did my B2 catch a possible bounce off a car coming the other way or was the laser directly aimed at me from the rear?
I'm sure i was in the limit but you never know.

Would like some feedback on this.
Looking at the road and positioning this seems like very sneaky tactics to be catching people just after the Gatso, but they are more likely to make money...... sorry, catch road terrorists by pointing the laser at oncoming traffic coming over the crest on the right hander?
I'm concerned that i was being aimed at from behind (ooeer!) rather than from the front.
