Just caught the tailend of this on BBC Breakfast News. A man in Knaresbourgh has built his own speed camera outside his house. It even has its own film!

So if I was going to my grandparents near Knaresborough and I swerved to avoid a doggie* and then hit his camera, I would be able to sue him for creating a road hazard.
The BIB on the news was very cagey about whether or not he would be charged with any offence for putting it up though!
* that's one of the reasons he put the camera up - along with 'lots' of near misses. However what was the dog doing out on the road without a lead and it's owner - shouldn't the dog's owner be fined?
