Need some advice BADLY

I am a 37 year old woman - driving for 19 years, and I am expecting a summons to appear in court for speeding on the motorway.
I have a clean licence - never been in trouble with the law in my life - and I am crapping myself.
My solicitor (yes I have one arranged already) can not help me until the summons comes - which could be another 5 months yet - and the waiting is killing me.
I was very stupid - 117mph on the motorway - although it was only for a short period of road - 9.30 on a Saturday morning - very little traffic on the road - and for those of you who live in NI you will know where I am coming from if I say it was Antrim traffic branch.
I have been checking stuff out on the web - as a ban will cost me my job - and the police at Antrim said it would be unlikely for me to loose my licence - but I am looking at points and a hefty fine.
I hear that the judge at Antrim court is a bit of a "hanging judge" so I would like to hear from anyone who has been there - done this - and suffered the consequences

Nip and get a republic driving license then present that and keep your UK one in tact. I know its a bit naughty but there is a war on. You will now get all sorts of bad advice from BIB saying dont worry pay up and all that crap. Truth is you have to fight the bastards every inch of the way. Good luck and I sincerely hope you get off.
BTW a ban is only likely to be a couple of weeks for a first offence clean license for years etc

If you've got a good solictor lined up that's all you can do at present. If the very worst comes to the worst why should a ban cost you your job? Could you not:
1)Save up your holidays as much as possible, and take em if you're unable to drive.
2)Consider finding a driver for you? (Assuming that you are not a lorry driver or ambulance driver etc.)This may be easier than you think.
In the mean time keep sane! It probably won't be as bad as you think.

I will now give you some bad advice. Do exactly what Nongreen has told you to!

Seriously, the law boys here are good sorts, but will not condone anything illegal, so you can understand their view point.

Oh I think our BiB friends here are on our side as far as they can be, but they have their jobs to do, and in the main I reckon they strike a pretty good balance.
I think even 'gone' is becoming a bit more accommodating, mind you, it's about time.

You can get a southern licence, but doubt it's use. If banned, you will be banned from holding or obtaining a licence to drive. A southern licence allows you to drive, so you are in fact banned from holding or obtaining that as it applies to the North.
If you get a non-uk licence, it won't physically be endorsed, but your driving record will be endorsed, so shows up on PNC or a DQ3 printout.

This speed kills stuff really is working, surely that slogan should be: thanks to speed fixated authorities, class size targets will soon be met. Thanks to drivers our roads are still the safest in the world
