Greetings folks. Off to Anglesey next w/e in the Cerbera and am quite concerned about all the hype over the 6 million speed cameras I will no doubt encounter during the trip over from N Yorks. Is it really that bad - are the roads going to be covered in these things or can I expect to have a little bit of fun at somepoint? This is assuming the car doesn't complete the journey on the back of a low-loader. (Thought I would get the cheap TVR joke in before someone else does).

Cheers

Can't give any advice on the roads mate, never go there. Lovely looking car on your profile, i keep going with safer options and will probably never take the plunge and risk a Trev. £1500 for a 12k service? Ouch!!!!

Hey, you will be driving through my field...... erm well where it used to be until it was taken for A55 improvements.

Watch it in the road works at Sealand / Queensferry. Scamera hyenas park their truck amongst the workmens vehicles. Pal was nabbed there recently.

I am told there are unmarked patrols on the A55 even though Brainstorm say "it was designed as an 80mph road so we generally don't enforce there"

Be careful down Rhuallt hill before St Asaph, after passing between the rock cuttings. Plod sits in a lay-by hidden by a slow right curve in the road. Watch near the Conway tunnels and also Anglesey has many favourite nicking points.

Two miles of cones on A55 near Northop for the next few weeks; 40 limit enforced by scameras.

I was told that along the whole two miles last week. there were just 4 chaps working.

I now believe these delays are deliberate, just to P us off and make driving even more miserable than it already is.

Why not go the scenic route? A55 is a tad dull. Pop down to Llangollen, A5 to Betws y Coed, Capl Curig then A4086 to Llanberis, pick up the B4547 that meets theA487. Just a thought. There may be few mobiles etc but hey ho.
