Oh brilliant, I strongly thought something like this might happen.
The trouble is that it becomes quite divisive, I am currently on payscale 7 due to the stopping of increments so was rather hoping to reach the top of the payscale on a (massively delayed date) of Jan 2015. I'm not sure of the details, but that doesn't look like that'll be the case now.
But people who joined at different dates (IE just before the freeze) will be remaining at top whack... For exactly the same job.

Surely the people you/i call for when things are a bit too much for us too deal with should be paid more?

In certain times there may be a need to stop cost of living increases but it shouldn't be the norm.

I believe cabinet ministers have had pay cuts recently.
