Can anyone tell me if they have been snapped by the Truvelo on the Fosse Way north of Morteon in Marsh in the Cotswolds.

Odly it doesn't appear from what I can tell on any police websites. I was doing (I think) about 65 when I saw it and hit the brakes at 6am last Saturday. Not sure what sort of speed I would have been travelling at when I went over the sensors in the roads.

If its the one I think it is, myself & Dazren may have been "making progress" northbound past this one a while back. The GPS warning came too late & so we may have passed it at a velocity in excess of some arbitary number on a signpost. AFAIK, Daz never received a begging letter as a result...

Pete's quite correct. No NIP received, or more importantly SWAT team surrounding my house the following morning.

The forward facing truvelo we went through was the one that is about a mile or two into Warwickshire as you go north along the Fosseway. From memory it was in a 60 limit, which I considered most unsporting at the time.

60 an "unsporting" limit for a single-carriageway???

I know the Fosse quite well - commute along part of it north of where you are. And while it CAN BE a lovely road to hoon along, there are lots of side roads, and lots of FARMS!!!

Farms = not only slow tractors pulling out and/or driving along, but the risk of MUD on the road.

So before you become another statistic adding to the SCP's reasons for adding another camera, take it sensibly, eh?

Note: 65 in a 60 IS, IMHO, sensible enough, assuming reasonable road and meteo conditions.

No. What was unsporting was putting the speed camera on a 60 section rather than in one of the villages where a lower speedlimit needs to be enforced.

I can also confirm that I don't need a lesson in road surface observation, but thank you for your concern.

What was even more unsporting was the GPS location being off by a crucial 100 yards or so!

pdv - they'd probably moved it just to p you off.

Dazren - understand now - fair point. And I wasn't trying to be patronising (honest!!!).

No problem.... Re-reading my first post I wasn't exactly clear in which bit was unsporting, the limit or the camera placement.

Ohhh give over purrrleeeeze....

Now, do be carefull wiping your bum in the morning as I've heard that a badly manicured nail might lead to a insignificant scratch, which, without application of an antibacterial agent will and under the agravated rubbings of a less than soft toilet paper likely yield piles, this invariably requires a few days in hospital lying on ones tum wondering where it all went wrong....

Don't wrap those grapes of wrath in cotton wool, about 800 hospital admissions a year are due to cotton wool, bl00dy dangerous stuff - much safer to hoon along the Fosse Way

T-E, thanks for the benefit of your sanitary experiences, but I don't think we needed to know!!!

Did you actually bother reading my next post??? Or did you think it more fun just to go off on one for the hell of it?

I wasn't sure of CNJ's and dazren's experience on the road, and I was pointing out a hazard they may not have been aware of! If you have a problem with constructive posts, then I suggest you visit some of the MaxPower forums around...probably closer to your age-group!
