Bad people..........
Discussion
After parking my car at work today, had the pleasure of being greeted with a nice deep key mark the whole length of the offside. Right through the metallic paint and is going to be very costly.
Absolutely fuming, only positive aspect is that the area is covered by CCTV, after speaking to a shop keeper he will have a look on the tape for me. The receptionist had similar treatment last week and we have our suspects about an angry resident unhappy with us parking near his house. We arent in the way and its a legal place to park.
If the CCTV shows a face and we can match it with a local would (in all honesty) the police be interested and if so... what could they do??
Or will it be a case of me and all the mechanics turning up on his door and demanding the money.
Ta for reading.

CS/Pepper spray....nice...
Ah! But my colleagues end up treating these guys in A&E!
You is costing us MONEY here!
Nope think water canon - preferably on coldest winter's day - which means they catch a cold and I can then stick needles - large ones into them "in the interests of research" and to reduce damages on part of police by finding there is "no conclusive evidence to suggest the cold water gave them a chill, m'lud"
Well I'm itching to see the CCTV. It is obviously deliberate, still fuming. If someone was unhappy with my parking, then a note on the windscreen would of done the trick.
I dont earn that much and it is going to need 2 panels sprayed, that isnt cheap even for a Renault.
I really really hope I find out who it is, first stop will be police station on my lunch break. If they dont seem interested then it will be a polite knock on the door and a "£300 please." (Remember 2 cars have been done)
If he declines then negotiations will be opened between me and him.
I know people say dont take the law into my own hands, but if the police say they dont have enough to prosecute or cant do anything... then I will not leave it. I am NOT paying for a repair on my car because somebody else has vandalised it, or else I will be rolling over to the same scum I despise.
I will do whatever it takes to get the money.
(That is if there is any evidence.... which I very much doubt)

In the words of sherriff buford t justice.
"Im outa my juristiction."
Have a look at the tape, and see if there is any cctv evidence, and follow it up from there. If the offender is a local face then they will definately be interested in having him in for criminal damage.
My scratch occured at my local BMW dealer, booked my car in for a service, came back to find my offside mirror pushed forward and a 6 inch scratch on the rear.
Definately not there before, the service manager has 'checked' the cctv (which I had to suggest) and guess what, nobody went near my car. Now the tape is re-used. Funny that.
Makes me want to go and punch his lights out as a scratch doesn't magically appear.
Obviously I am not advocating punching someones lights out...
