accuracy of GPS speed readings

A friend has just got an oragin b2 he was questioning the accuracy of the speed readout is is about 5MPH under his speedo display, he doent know which one to believe. Is it his speedo reading wrong?

Sppedo overreads by about 5mph, sounds about right.

GPS is more accurate once cruising. During acceleration and slowing down due to the 1sec delay it takes for the GPS to get a reading it will be out.

Definatly more accurate once at a steady speed though
