This is a copy of a letter in the Gulf News in Dubai. I wonder how this slant on the topic would go down in the UK.
"I refer to the numerous letters on different techniques to apprehend speedsters. It is time to think logically. I don't understand why speeding causes accidents when the maximum number of accidents occurs in the traffic jams.
Moreover, "road rage" will be solved in speeding as no one can make eye contact with another driver and start aggression.
But above all, traffic jams will cease because cars will be moving faster and the roads will be used more efficiently.
Haven't we seen a car going slowly in on the fast lane thus causinga traffic jam? So let go of this notion of driving slowly, drive fast but attentively.
