A sticker for the trafpol to indicate they were 'black rats' ie Traffic.

Some people were under the mislead idea if they slapped one on their Nova, they were a traffic police officer and would therefore face no prosecution.

Load of old cack really.

I have got a couple of Rupert Bear label badges wearing policeman's helmets - they were only available via the Police force.

But as I have never been stopped by a policeman in over 27 years of driving I never found out if they would have an effect.

Silverback is quite right. These days they are almost frowned upon as being "an integrity issue."

As said, load of old nonsense.

They are for a charity run by Traffic Police for the widows and orphans fund.

It wont surprise you that I'm a member of the Black Rat Club....

I have a number of sad tie pins that I don...a different one each day.....I'm getting old, I think..

The Black Rat club is exclusive and the internet site a variety of hoops in which to negotiate before joining...

If that's the case then fair enough.

My tie pin currently says "Give blood, play rugby"

I like being a bit different.....

No offence street....

Had one on my car once and it was damaged outside a remote country Pub.

Too many people know what they are now and quite a few people displaying them on their cars have bought them on the Net.

I suppose you started to bully other motorists as soon as you started to drive HGV's..

Just one of those things, eh?

Difference is, if I were to "bully" other motorists, they have the law on their side.

I dont think so,lol.

Our unit has an average service of about 9 years......those days are long gone with old crustys.

On a lighter note though....i dont believe that the Government could do without a Traffic/Roads Policing unit because they do need more experienced Officers to supplement the many Probies on Division.

Saw an IRV the other day with 2 Officers and they both had under 18months service......very very sad.
What price experience eh?
