I have a roll cab from a well known manufacturer which has failed (spot welds failed), I returned for a replacement and upgraded to a roll cab + topbox on the advice that spreading the load and the additional bracing of the topbox may help.

The roll cab failed again, in the same place, was returned and replaced, this took nearly 6 months to sort.

The roll cab has failed again and the top box has also failed, they have offered to swap my roll cab and topbox for a better model of roll cab which is wider, but without the topbox to match.

I've ploughed just over a grand into the finance so far and am not prepared to accept another faulty rollcab or their upgrade (which is actually a downgrade) so I want to reject it on the basis I've given them ample opportunity to resolve the issue and they have failed.

With my £1000 that I get refunded, I intend to buy a second hand one off ebay and strengthen it, thus clearing the finance and having a better box that fits my needs.

So how do I go about this, what rights do I have, draft letter to be sent?

surely 3 product failures is sufficient to reject?

how does the finance show on my history? Rejected? paid off in full? just removed?

what are they likely to throw back at me?

I would ring the finance company and explain what you just typed, see what they suggest.

Do NOT stop paying the finance in the interim.

I'm interested to see the "answer" to this…but shouldn't it be in SP&tL?

the manufacturers finance the product which is then sold via franchisee's (our franchisee has quit so dealing direct)

Still going to continue to pay in the meantime!

Don't forget there will be a diminution for the time you have had the product.
