Might well be they were just calling it a "horti" amongst themselves.

Home Office Road Traffic Form 1.

Its a useful form for us because as well as being a producer.....it has almost all your details on it that we would need to report you for summons, or an RTC.

With a pen and a Hort/1 you cant really go wrong.

So reading between the lines, seeing as they weren't traffic and didn't have any Hort/1 forms thye simply took notebook notes of my details and a brief notebook entry of what had happened and got me to sign that, (I basically lost control of my off road bike when my soaking wet gloves slipped off the front brake as we came back onto the road, I threw it down the road and into a car) The coppers were all very pleasant and jokey to the degree of "well treat it as a lesson learnt". Is it a safe assumption that it will be a no further action type, nothing was said at all about being reported for any sort of offence at the time.

It used to be the form for reminding you to produce the required documents and where you elected to take them.

It is no longer printed and has been replaced by a form called DPS1 (or DIPSY).

The new form is a combined form for Section 1 PACE searches and for docs production!

Usually when you get one and have produced at a police station you get a statement of witness form to say that the desk staff have seen your docs, these are quite useful, if you get stopped a lot you can offer the officer the witness form and save getting another producer.
