emergency vehicle, parked in a no-parking spot regularly, no emergency situation and no emergency lights on..

traffic used to flow smoothly on 2 lanes until this started happening. since about a week (or more) back, this is parked here every day! totally disrupting the traffic flow!

somebody gets in and drives it away around 8.40am!

surely there's no emergency or medical situation (not every morning till around 8.40am plus no emergency lights on!!). somebody has to be doing it for convenience!

Might be an idea to ask them or phone them to find out why.

Either that or write to the Daily Mail as there will no doubt be outrage at this.

Looks more like a transport ambulance than an emergency one - ie a fancy minibus.

Major Micheal extraction here IMO. Call local Health authority.

I thought 'Emergency' vehicles were only immune from legislation for a genuine emergency.

It's not even an HD ambulance

Why blank the plate? It's not your vehicles and it's in a public space?

Never forget an ambulance driver is just "white van man" with a few stickers.

Yep, might be collecting a patient (for chemo etc), might be picking up a pie for lunch. Meh.

In that case maybe, but if youre referring to all ambulance drivers then youre a clown.

It might possibly apply to 'patient buses' but the proper paramedics deserve a great deal of respect.

if he's parking there between 8 and 6 in the day he's taking the piss, otherwise he's OK. That's an outpatients daily bus (non emergency).

It probably (and should) has blue badge status or equivalent.

What are the times specified on the plate in the picture (I'm not able to read it on my phone)? Without knowing this it's pure speculation as to whether any offence is being committed.

Thanks for all the feedback.

unfortunately the no-parking sign is not very clear in the photo (it says until 9.30am and this was at 8.35ish), i'll have to take another one! well, pretty confident i'll be able to take one tomorrow as its been there most mornings lately..

blanked the number to avoid an accusation in public. that's for the media not for me..

I hope to fk that you meant that as a joke (albeit a st one).
If you seriously believe that I am a glorified van driver then you are a dick. If you'd like, you can come out on shift with me one day and you will see what we actually do for a living.

As for the original post, I'm not sure if you are saying the ambulance is there overnight or if it is showing up at the same time each day. If it is the latter then it's probably taking someone, who would otherwise be unable to travel, to hospital. Probably for a regular and repeated course of treatment (maybe Chemo or physio).
By the way, it is a Patient Transport Service ambulance, not a frontline truck.

dont refer to paramedics as amby drivers they dont like it.

If it parked then when you say I would say non paramedic patient transport and driver is not full bore para just minibus driver. I have never seen a paramedic take an ambulance home expect rrv.
