Hi guys. I just got a ticket from outside Pisa, from last April (yes, 04 2013).

It's in a rental, and I know generally everyone ignores these. But we have a house there, I spend a lot of time there, and we rent many cars.

I'd be inclined to pay the initial offer, whereby it's 106 euro if paid with 5 days of the issue date, but seeing at that was sent on 14 Jan, it's BS

What say the collective wisdom of PH? Ignore it, fight it, pay the silly amount? It was for 106 in a 90 zone for the tree huggers. Kilometers, not miles.

If you're a regular there, I'd just pay up to avoid any future hassle.

Check your credit card as hire firms may have charged you an admin fee to pass on your details to the Italian rozzers.

I would ignore it.

Check credit card records to see if any unauthorized transactions have taken place, have them reversed.

If the Italians can't even get a speeding fine out within a reasonable time - who knows how many more there may be out there. Paying will only encourage them to send more.
