Can I send this to police?

Earlier walking through town the traffic was backed up across the traffic lights and because this the pedestrian crossing turned green for people to cross. People started crossing the road in front of a car which was there and the driver essentially drove at them even though he was in the wrong and the lights were green for pedestrians to go across.

I filmed this on my phone along with the drivers face and number plate. Obviously I have posted it on our local community Facebook page and it's getting lots of comments and shares but would the police be interested in what was essentially road rage?

He was stopped there in a queue and the pedestrian crossing lights turned to green. He drove at the pedestrians with his hand on horn rather than waiting.

If your wife/sis/mum/granny was on the crossing in front of him when he did it, would you still be in two minds as to whether to do anything about it?

There was a lady of about 70 who took exception and managed to engrave about two panels with the end of a golf umbrella. Don't think he realised that!

Well if there isn't enough to charge the driver, they can always charge the 70 year old with vandalism.

Or even better two for the price of one.

Is the legal position that if a car has crossed a junction and then the lights turn against them that they are entitled to continue?

The vandalism was self inflicted. She banged on his window and by driving through the umbrella then dragged along the car.

I'm pretty sure that under no circumstances is it legal to go from stopped to driving straight at pedestrians in the UK.

I think accidentally taking a bit of paint off a Range Rover is not quite the same as mowing down a pedestrian crossing.
