No police force is allocating money to police this anyway, and apart from which how will they check if it's a fox-hunt and not a drag hunt? All the dogs, horses and riders look the same and there's NO BAN on this!!!!
All 10 scottish hunts are still "hunting" (and have increased membership) even if there has been a ban in operation in Scotland for 2 years...........

Really can't see how they will enforce it, read on Sunday that many landowners will deny Police access to their land (trespass).
However assuming access is allowed, How will a Police officer catch up with 20 or more people on horseback? (even Dirtbikes/ATV's cannot jump fences/streams, If he catches them and they stop how will he arrest someone on a big highly strung horse?, If manages to arrest one how will he get the others? where will he put them? and what will he do with 20+ loose horses after arresting the riders?.

Thought it was 'hunting with dogs' that was being banned rather than fox hunting specifically. Might be wrong like...

As others have said I don't suppose they'll bother. Although I'll bet ALF types will get involved and the police will need to be called anyway.

My thoughts entirely - realistically, they will need to use a police helicopter, follow and record the hunt from start to finish, wait till the hunt is over and then use police to arrest the offending individuals once the horses are washed down and on their way home. Problem of course is that on video, they have to be seen chasing a fox or it would be argued that they were just out on a drag hunt and therefore can't be prosecuted. A lot of cash and resource for not a lot.

Hunt in progress whci is reported to Police.
Control send the only unit available to investigate and the single officer sees 40 mounts and 40 dogs chasing across a field into some woods.
Officer thinks "Hunting=Illegal"
Goes to the area of the wood to find a dispersed amount of riders asking him/her if he/she has seen their lost dogs? "They just took off officer, god knows why so we followed to try and get them back together"
Officer finds the persons in red coats and says to them, "You are out hunting!"
Reply = "Officer I was out for a ride in my highly visble jacket so that I am contributing to Road safety when I came across all these horses and dogs. I was curious to find out where they were all going and when they told me, I knew a shorter route. I suggested they follow me and as my horse is not fitted with an electrical warning instrument I have this horn to let people know of my presence should I be travelling quickly and believe they have not seen me. Have you seen my dog? It looks terribly like alkl these other ones which have arrived. It may have gone into this wood and I cannot find it!"

Dont worry about it Gone. They will figure out some sort of automated system which is as corrupt and foolproof as a NIP from a Gatso.
If they cant tax it, they will ban it and fine it

What's even more laughable is going to happen when the power cables go down during winter storms.....
