It pleases me to announce that My Government will no longer pander to the masses of disunited fragmented and ever internally squabbling lentilists, sandalistas and other guardianistas. It shall, henceforth, take heed of the united and uniform minority views of the common man, especially the taxpaying driver whose bottomless pockets prop up My Treasury.
My Minister for Transport shall make haste to bring forward Legislation, as soon as Parliamentary time allows, to fulfill the desire of the common motorist to be penalised for any harm suffered by any of My Subjects if any motorists can be shown to have been guilty of anything anywhere.
For those who cannot be shown to be guilty of anything anywhere, My Home Secretary will endevour to ensure that they will not have to drive too far to be prosecuted by a malfunctioning, or mis-set, Safety Camera.
My Chancellor shall lay before my Parliament regulations to ensure that any of My Subject motorists feeling aggrieved that they have not been allowed the opportunity to share the guilt and carry the burden of the non-motoring public shall be able to draw on public funds with which to purchase whips, lashes, birches or other implements with which to self-flagellate themselves.

Well diesel ed you haven't bracketed me in the above.
As towman (repeat after me; towman NOT toerag) points out shift workers another example, not forgetting people who might be working odd hours in different time zones. Open up your limited mind.
So messing about in a light hearted way is frowned upon is it?
Gassing station is a bit like a virtual pub. Like in real pub there is a cross section of society, not a total spectrum but parts of it.
Ever noticed in a real pub or other regular meeting place there are some people who wouldn't sit at one end of the bar because some boring old fart sits down there and drones on. Equally there are others who don't mix with the football obsessed group because it doesn't interest them and they'd rather talk about cricket, or the telly, or chicks or whatever.
If you find the discussion too serious / light then sit on another table, simple; job done and sorted.
If I and others want to have a laugh, then providing Ted doesn't object then that is OK. Others have discussions serious and light hearted about subjects that personally I find deadly tedious, or maybe think "How silly" or "Yuk, how unpleasant."
However I don't bore into the discussion and start providing links to my own and other threads all over the place and killing a conversation that others find interesting by trying to divert it onto my own agenda regardless of how worthy or correct that other thread is. Yet you do it all the time, leopards - spots, seen it done before on here and elsewhere.
(BTW having seen how you operate before you start being a smartass and quoting left right and centre I can tell you I linked to another thread of mine the other day because I wanted to hear Tonyrec's respected opinion re PCSO's from his parallel thread.)
