Am I right in thinking that after every fatal there is a report produced by the investigating police team which will, presumably, identify what were the causation and contributory factors of the collision?
If that is the case, is it these factors that are used by the Speed Camera Partnerships when determining where speed cameras should be placed?
For seriously injured collisions, I assume the PC just ticks the various boxes on the relevant form.

The actual RTC booklet is the same for minor collisions as it is for Fatal ones....
Only the amount of Statements differs..together with exhibits and disclosure issues.
Certainly in my area, my colleagues and I could only find 4 sites out of 30 that we didn't agree with for speed enforcement.

That's still 13% street, so if that stat was consistent amongst all scameras then out of the 5,500 cameras in the UK then at least 715 are not properly located.

Of course...cameras are also placed in 'Speed Complaint' sites too..and 'Potential Collision areas', thus answering to the complaints of:
"Does someone have to die before the bloody police will do something about these speeding motorists on this road?"

Only the other day I was hearing about a young woman on a horse who had died as a result of a low flying military aircraft and her family campaigning for this never to happen again...
A few months back there was the wind buggy thing on the beach that killed a young mother and calls for them to be banned..

The point I was trying to make was that people like Blunkett came up through the ranks of local politics. When I look at my local councillors it scares me.
One of these could be 10 times worse than Blunkett in 10 years time!
If Labour do not kicked out by the election but one, then it is bye-bye UK for me.
