Non motoring I am afraid
My right of way is being willfully obstructed, asking the obstructer is not an option as the last time I tried to resolve a dispute by talking I was physically
attacked.
Will the local police help [private road] or will I need a court order? if so how do I go about it and will it be expensive??

Edit my description it is motoring related it is a vehicular access thatI am talking about,
If he does not attack me this time but refuses to allow me access [important delivery expensive to turn away]what can I do???? sorry if I am not being clear,but it is as most disputes like this are,a long complicated and very sad story.

Key question is whether you have legal right of access. Check your deeds. If you do, and he obstructs, next check with Police and with citizens advice
