NIP - aaaarrgghhh! Bye bye clean licence...

Serves me right for being so gobby about having a clean license ("despite driving 35000 miles a year yabba yabba yabba etc!") but I got home the other night to find a nice NIP for allegedly (!) doing 46mph in the Thelwall Viaduct roadworks near J 20/21 M6 (40mph & ave speed cameras).
My wife has no sympathy, especially as i have recently forked out for a Road Angel 2 (hmmm memo to self - doesn't detect when your brain has gone AWOL...), but despite that I thought I would just see if there is any other option open to me other than rolling over and having my tummy tickled?!
Any advice (constructive or not) gratefully received.
On a sobering note, when I first registered with the site (sticker proudly displayed in back of Ford X Type) I had a 911 in the garage to play with at weekends - 2 years on I have a 4 month old daughter, no 911 and no money either. Go figure

Isn't it best practice to ask for the pics before you deal with the form. Then you can try to convince them that you really don't know who was driving despite checking old receipts,, your diary etc. Or, ask your wife to complete the form and post it back on your behalf, unsigned. Then once at court you can tell em, you did provide the information via your wife.
Best bet is head on over to www.pepipoo.com and ask the folk there.
There may be proceedural errors with your paperwork, the road signs might not have been correct, and in any case there's always the PACE letter.

Basically, they're requesting (demanding, on pain of further penalty if you fail to provide) information and then using that info as evidence against you. It's a forced confession. (We reckon you commited the , chummie, so if you don't sign this here confession we'll bang you up for not confessing).
The PACE (Police and Criminal Evidence Act) letter is a way of providing the requested info, but in a form inadmissable in court.
That's the theory, anyway. Nobody's been up before the beak on it yet. The nearest so far was dropped on the day.

Bad luck fella. Were you Northbound ?, 'cos that last camera just before the nsl sign, after you're back on the correct carraigeway with four lanes available must catch a lot of people out

Und I will bet you picked up the increased average on the downhill bit as well.....und I bet it was non-rush hour as this ist only way you can travel above 15mph....
How long have those road works been there?
I seem to think this work has been going on for last 3 years..... the toll road has been built in this time und progress has been made on M60 rewidening since works commenced last March. You can at least see how this motorway will shape out ... It appears to be taking them longer to repair the viaduct than it did to build it in the first place! Und they are still having accidents there as well ... in fact I hear of more accidents mit the scams than I heard of before scams appeared in this und prior road works. Are they
perhaps more concerned mit not creeping above 40 mph? I do wonder.....given the number of times I hear this mentioned on the "travel news"I find the increase of 40mph limits in motorway roadworks very worrying. Whenever I've driven over the M6 Thelwall viaduct through the roadworks, the workforce have been totally isolated from the traffic on the old bridge. What's worse is the fact that the northbound 40 limit continues some distance after the end of the works to a bridge where there is a specs camera.
Driving on this road feels very slow - it has obviously been set up as an extortion racket. Also the problems with 70mph traffic suddenly being slowed by 30mph on a busy motorway must be dangerous.

I've been over there a few times late at night and struggled to keep under 45 in with the trucks while everyone else flew by at 50 plus.
