Fake unmarked plod car in Dorset

If for some reason you have to tolerate Dorset there is an Astra estate on a y plate going around between poole and Dorchester being driven by some sad old twat who has bought some strobe lights syuck them to his dash and thinks he is something he isnt ,
bumped into him twice now and because its dark diddnt manage to get the reg apart from the fact its a Y plate, It dosent bother me as i left him in a cloud of black soot on the puddletown bypass as he tried using his blue disco lights and flashing of main beam to get me to stop . hopefully i will get the reg so i can report him , also hopeing the police take a very grim veiw of it anbd throw the book at the sad tosser

I should hope so. I would have called it in as soon as I got home though - very slim chance it could have been a real copper. However very very few people use dash lights in the UK so I doubt it. A yellow Astra estate also doesn't strike me as being a car any police force would use, unmarked or otherwise.

Report it with what details you have - PNC can be searched without a full registration. It'll just come back with more results than the single one you'd get if you had the whole VRM; same as any database search really.

Right i will keep my eyes peeled , the two times i have seen him have been in the dark plus , i will definatly shop him , feel a bit of a prat for not doing so the 1st time , but leaving him standing @100+ while he tried keeping up was too good to miss second time he was on the opposite carrage way .

Its a White Astra LS Estate on a Y plate i think there was only 2 numbers and the last set of numbers began with an s

I know the traffic officer who covers that area really well I'll tell him about this and see what he thinks. They do use stealth cars but not for traffic operations where they would want to stop a speeding vehicle.
