Mr Greenpeace man - 'they are wanting to build another motorway, which of course means more traffic and more CO2 emmisions'
Reporter - 'most CO2 emmisions are from the exhausts of motor cars'
so, getting cars moving increases polution - erm...no.
And central heating systems don't produce any CO2 then.
The report also cuts to shots of an old F reg Volvo belching s**t out of it's exhaust pipe.
Journalists have a habit of doing this, just like on council estates when they always ask the pram pushing 16 year old smoking chav for her opinions, instead of the majority of decent folks.

Fallacy. It means less traffic in the towns, as the cars are now in the motorway. Which is less pollution.
Do these advisors appoint themselves? Why are there no intelligent, level-minded advisors?

I did not hear this news .... but yesterday on R2's "Drive Time" mit Johnny Walker (who has passed anti-scam remarks in past .... und was particularly scathing over one in Brighton which was a particularly high earner ...) -- his business news bit contained item about the "M4 Relief Road" which is going to be our first GPS toll road. Plans are afoot to use the 14 mile stretch and use GPS to log each drive und then bill you each time you use it....
Cannot see how this can be correct .... your vehicle will need a gadget to be tracked by the satellite...surely.... Or are they now planning to have speed cams in space

you also get a BIG reduction in deaths / accidents / children being run down in town centres etc etc.

When I rode bikes, there almost WAS tax exemption. My 400cc Suzi cost £12 a YEAR to tax. Then one Budget, when the then-resident joker proclaimed from the rooftops that car tax would not increase, he quietly TRIPLED the road tax on bikes.
