drive into work this morning. 43 miles long the M62/A63
not bad till I got to the dual carriageway bit (A63). A chav in a N reg clio screeming past me on the inside, to change lane infront of me without indicating before hitting the lorry which was the reason I was in the outer lane anyway.
Didn't see him ever look in his mirrors. He stayed in the outside lane till his turn off, when he crossed the carriageway - not indicating- and pulled off, to several cars sounding their horns at him, to which he aggresively put the 2's up at them.
Old person with yellow headlights travelling at <50MPH in the inside lane riding the white line with his left wheels. Lots of braking and manouvering to get past him.
A precession of cars, the front of which went through the lights on amber, the last 4 went through on red.
And finally, people using the bus lane at about 930 (when the bus lane ends). Clearly people have their watches set as slightly different times resulting in the ensuing arguments and anger as to if you're entitled to use it or not.

The bus lane example is quite correct and bizarre....
I ticket people who use the bus lane when they shouldn't and later see people who could use the bus lane (in out of operation hours) sticking to the car lane..
The other day, whilst on bus lane enforcement, a bus queued with cars in the car lane and didn't use the bus lane FFS.

do you have a 'time window' around the changeover time?
ie, you think that it's 9:28 but the driver thinks that it's 9:32.
using the bus lane as a slip road is also interesting. lets say I need to turn off, and my turn off is 50 yards away, should i realy wait for the standing traffic to get to it, or just use the bus lane for 50 yards?

dail the speaking clock on your hands free to get an official time. Tried this in a few pubs that have very fast clocks and close at 10:50pm. Never seems to work in this case though
Interesting comments about the bus lanes... Castle lane in bournemouth has just received some extra bus lanes, which IMHO are not necessary at all, since very few buses travel along castle lane..... and it would seem those that do stick to the car lanes anyway!
Surely if a bus lane is provided the bus driver should use it?? The cost of putting it in must of been huge!

I generally leave the first and last 10 mins, to be fair.

Definately wait. It's a bus lane until the solid white line breaks, normaly about 10 metres before the junction. The danger comes from people who have waiting in the queue and then when they get to the end, they glance in their nearside mirror, look for a bus and don't see you in your car using the bus lane as a slip road...
Isn't it amzing how many of the numpties actually make it onto the road on a Monday morning though.
On my way into work this morning having dropped off the missus, when I came to a set of lights. Lights went amber, so I slowed and stopped. The car in front was in the middle of the junction waiting to turn right, and went to set off after the lights had gone red.
Cue idiot driving through red light from opposite side and nearly hitting him (I had been stationary for about 5-10 seconds at this point), before driving off sounding horn and staring after right turner mouthing profanities!!!!
I noticed their were cameras to catch this safe driving

Actually was behind someone yesterday morning (not rush hour but even so!) who approached a slip road at 50ish, indicated, then suddenly just stopped on the slip road waiting to be let out onto the motorway...
There was NOONE COMING until she stopped, then she had a hell of a time trying to get on to the motorway as she ahd no speeed built up
It was a stereotype middle age woman with clueless look in eyes as well

drove into worcester the other night, 2 mile que of people, no one in the bus lane, Im sure they were all seathing when I overtook the lot.
But the signs says 7-7pm, and it was 7:20pm. Even my missus was cringing, wanting me to "do what everyone else does"
bugger that. If they can't understand the signs, why have they got a licence??
