SORN and private reg..

Hi,

Looking to SORN my mini and save a bit of cash until the spring but i have a private reg on it. If i sorn it will i loose my reg? Do i need to transfer or retain it before i sorn it, or am i ok to go ahead and do the sorning?

I see no reason to think that you would lose your registration number, the vehicle remains registered, it is just untaxed. I have declared SORN in the past, and did not have to re-register and get a new number-plate.
