...because I'd love to know what happened yesterday in the carpark behind John Lewis. All I know is that it ended up with one car parked on top of another!

Sounds like someone got a good launch from the road running along the perimeter of the centre.

Didnt see that one, but I've seen a similar one a couple of years back, where someone swerved to avoid something on the perimeter road and headed (flew?) down the embankment to land on top of another car's bonnet parked below.

Oh I remember that one too.

This was more interesting. It was in the midst of the free bit behind JL. Car (reversed into space) was driven/pushed backwards from its space in the middle of a row through the little hedge which seperates the back-to-back rows onto the bonnet of a car parked behind it. Possibilities for this happening accidentally seem limited, so I wondered if it was some sort of "parking-rage" incident.

I had a stolen car plough though the hedges over the edge of the embankment and into the side of my car a few years back when it was parked behind the Point. Resulting in this.



Maybe another joyrider?

From what I heard, the Numpty driver of a jaguar found what she thought was an empty parking space and drove into it at speed (without bothering to make sure it was empty), unfortunately there was a mini (old style obviously) parked out of her view which she hit it and pushed through the hedge where it landed on top of an astra.

I'm afraid that this doesn't fit with the scene I saw. The car pushed through the hedge was a Mk3 Cav, the car underneath was a 307. The XK8 suffered only light damage (certainly not enough to align with the force needed to ram another car through a hedge and onto a third vehicle, more like the damage suffered turing into a space thought to be empty and then colliding with the front of a car parked on the bonnet of one in the row behind!). The were also "talking to" someone from a Golf GTi parked some distance away (Both Cav and Golf owners were "tannoyed" to return whilst I was in the shopping centre).
