7 January 2005 is being knocked about at the moment.

I'll be leaving traffic to start on a "non uniformed" role.

So I guess I'd better start shopping round for suits and shirts now.

For a minute there, I thought you said: Good luck with the Movie!

I can't imagine Dibs getting involved in anything like that. Although, He did say: plain clothes

That's the risk in CID.... Even worse when they try to interview a prisoner when pissed...they can't even start the tape machine..

Is it true what Nonners said... That next week you start work undercover as a TV tart on Church street in Preston?

One of those belted trenchcoat things, a trilby and some big brown brogues, perhaps?

Or deerstalker and pipe?

Best of luck - and mind how you go!

Now that's a thought. I've always thought that there was ceratin style about 30's, 40's and 50's dressing.

It's a bit like a fashion shoot upstairs some days. How people can afford exepensive suits etc like that, I've no idea.

Maybe retro-Regan 'Sweeney chic' flares, flowered shirt, etc, so that you can throw Chummy against the side of his motor and politely explain: "YOU'RE NICKED, SUNSHINE!!"

Great TV series, that was!

Amazing what PH can do for people.

I just realised that CID really means "Chav Identification Deployment".

Clearly the Chavtat thread has been instrumental in getting you off the streets.

Does non-uniform suggest Burberry?

Or would that still be uniform?

All the best for your new role - perhaps I'll see you in Church Street during your spare time! (not that I hang around Church Street, of course......)

Er Dibs, I'm coming up your way for the 7th Jan weekend, you couldn't find your way to switch off that forest of cameras could you? I mean,............ as a final favour, before you change jackets. No-one would know, It'd be at least Monday before they found out.

P.S. Good luck with the new suit Dibs, hope it fits.
