One of the guys i work with was absolutly W4nk3r'd at this years Christmas Party... he was last seen by us running off to catch his train.
This morning, I found out that he was arrested on the train, and spent a few hours in a cell whilst he sobered up. He has no recollection of the evening, or the events leading up to his arrest.
It also transpires he has to return to the station that detained him in January.
Can anyone tell me what sort of fate awaits him ? I presume that since he was not charged, but held, then released he will be given a warning.. is ths assumption correct ?

If he has been bailed to return on 47/3 bail then its going to be either for CPS charging advice, or to obtain further evidence to make a decision as to wether to charge ie cctv, statements etc.
He could have been bailed for Restorative justice advice as to wether to give a caution or not but he would have been told this when he was bailed.

Just a quick update.. my mate returned, he was formally charged, and appeared at the local Magistrates Court the following day. Charged Criminal Damage, D&D and Theft .. Turns out he was that drunk, he thought he would take the emergency hammer off a train, and see if it was possible to break teh train window with it.
£1400 Fine, £55 costs.

Yep...just like the emergency break out hammers from Halfords etc...
They require little force and punch a hole in the glass, cracking the surrounding glass...enabling you to push it out, or through..
I think thats quite a fair fine, the authorities don't like you mucking around with such important items.
I've never understood how people can get into such a state, the worst I've ever been I still had my head about me, although it lost the ability to control my limbs, and my stomach.

Yep, cost of new Laminated window for a SouthWestTrain is £1040 ... Special laminate apparently.
