Parking Ticket in Tesco?????

Hi All. I have just joined up on recommendation of a work colleague..
I was just given a parking ticket for parking in a disabled ticket in Tesco car park.
Ok I am not disabled - I couldnt find a space and just ran in to get about 10 boxes of mince pies for my work colleagues... (this is genuinely true - im not trying to tug heart strings)
When I came out about 5 minutes later i had been given a ticket for not having a disabled badge displayed.
The ticket was from a company called Euro Car Parks - does anyone know if the fine is legally enforcable at all?

Euro car parks are a legit company... the police the car park where I live. They do have a tendency to be over zealous with issueing tickets (I have a residents permit and have been ticketed - although they have been revoked).
However, in this case I think you have to admit you were in the wrong. Pay within X days and it's about half the amount I think...

i'd ust like to understand the process - are euro car parks able to enforce this through the dvla?

I had problems with these muppets the day before my wedding. They slapped a ticket on the Range Rover outside Podie's flat for no apparent reason. RR would not fit under the 'goal posts' so we parked it in the empty office carpark next door. Pod got the little snitching git fired and the fine returned.

Guys, thanks for the input - I feel its important i have admitted I am in the wrong here - I have disabled relatives as well if we are playing one-up-manship but that is circumstantial... am tempted to fight this - reason being...
they say they can fine you for parking in mother and child spaces or parking in a way that causes diffculty for other patrons... surely the only way they can prosecute is under an Anti Social Behaviour Order??????
Any thoughts?

I'm all for chilren/parents places....
the increased space to open their doors, means they're less likelihood of them opening their bleeding doors into my car!
Plus, as a parent of an under-one-year-old, I know that you *have* to open the door fully to get them in & out.

As a parent and being a controversial sod, how's it different ??
Being a parent is a choice that two people openly take, being disabled is not.
Maybe when I'm a parent you can refer me back to this and all have a laugh at my expense, but thats how I feel.
