Fun isn’t it?

Approaching the first SPEC camera I failed to slow down sufficiently and went under it at an indicated 65, I continued to use engine braking to slow down to 50 but I got to the next camera (200 metres apart?) before realising I should have slowed down further in order to bring my average speed down.

Quite embarrassing for all the obvious reasons, more so because it’s my employers 1.6 diesel company car and now I’ll be known as the office menace.

Oh well, something to tell the gran kids I suppose smile

You may be ok. It depends what tolerance they have set them at, plus your speedo will read high.

Not SPECS, but i was trundling through the New Forest yesterday at around 45MPH in a 40 limit, and didn't notice the speed camera van that was straight ahead, right in front of me in my lie of sight.

Once my brain did catch up, i stamped on the brakes.

Watching the letterbox with interest.

hehe

Maybe, but I'd guess 56mph is the the point at which I am clumped together with the rapists, drink drivers and whoever else.

M62 west bound. Not saying I counted it to 200 metres, but the distance was very short - much shorter than all the others.

I cared for the first few days, now I've stopped caring. The reality is being caught speeding at 56mph or whatever at 1am on an empty motorway doesnt make me any less humane than those dishing out the fines from their ivory tower.

Yeah, 2 weeks ago last Monday I was sitting at a mind numbing 51 mph in the road works at the south end of the M6, at about 6:30 am, and as I joined the M1, I floored it, thinking that like previous weeks that was the end of the average speed cameras, and not realising that there was another 6 miles of that st. I probably went past the next average speed camera at 65 mph, before I decided I'd have to sit at 42 mph in the slow lane, and see if I could bring my average between 3 cameras down to 50 mph. I didn't get a letter in the post today, and hopefully I won't get one tomorrow.

Still this morning it only took 4.5 hours to get to work, and I only went over 1.3 leptons twice.
