DOING 34 IN A 40 GATSO FLASHED WOLVER HAMPTON ROAD

Today went past a camera doing 34 mph it is a 40 zone camera flashed it was a gatso, i turned around as i was sure it was a 40 and when i checked the road signs it was a 40 mph road.There are several cameras up that road have no points at the moment so any advice would be more than welcome.
Gatsos sometimes flash when you are below the limit. They normally check your speed manually via the lines on the road to conferm the radar readings and no action will be taken.
Occasionally they dont check properly, and you will get a NIP, but if you write explaining that you know you were not speeding and ask them to double check the speed they should drop it.
If not, then you should walk all over them in court
