bus lane with broken white lines

My brother has received a ticket for driving in a bus lane but looking at the picture it has broken lines where I'd expect to see a thick solid line, although it does say buses only is this still right? I know of discontinued bus lanes where they've just painted over the solid line and put a normal broken line and it's used by everyone as an open lane [img] http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/mattblack/M...

From the stuff in the corner of the photo, it appears to be the somewhat infamous Wicker bus lane/gate area on the Sheffield ring road...

Sorry I don't know the location, my brother is a bit of a mong especially when it comes to driving so he probably couldn't describe somewhere local let alone 100miles away I'm suprised he made it there at all. I just looked at it and thought it doesn't look right to me and might save him £30 if it's wrong but your right it is sheffield somewhere

I knew he was a retard but I didn't know he was blind as well he deserves the fine lol explains why the broken white line as it isn't running paralell to a normal lane I'll give him some st for this

Its an annoying area to drive around I find, in fact I find getting around Sheffield quite tedious at the best of times.
