My sons car was written off last week and he has brought it back from the insurance comany, It has been declared a CAT C, dented rear wheel arch only and in my opinion is still road worthy. Can he now legally just carry on using it??
Its insured, Has Tax and a MOT until next May. He still has the V5 etc,

Thanks in advance

Yes he can. He'll no longer get VED reminders in the post, or be able to renew on-line, and he'll probably want to mention to his Ins.Co. that it's a Cat C, some get sniffy about it. Yes I know they should know already but left hand, right hand etc.

Which is fixed by getting a VIC done...

It would appear he collected it from the insurance company. If he had bought it I think he would have said "bought".
