My daughters been offered a part time job as a pa running errands for a business women.
The women is currently abroad and wants her to run errands she has sent her a cheque for 950.00 to cover expenses , wages but has now asked her to transfer via money gram 850 of it to a person in South Africa to pay for course .
To me it's a scam, we have told here not to transfer the money as she does not have it anyway as the cheques not been lodged

Looks like a scam if the woman has asked your daughter to pay the cheque into her account then send funds via Moneygram, The cheque will no doubt bounce sooner or later and your daughter will be £850 out of pocket. The recipient for the payment in South Africa wont be traceable.
May be worth letting Action fraud know via their website - they may have had similar scams using the same cheque account

Yes it's obviously similar to the employment scams listed here.

Stolen and/or fake cheque.

Point her to https://www.scamwarners.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=... (Employment Scams specifically on that forum).

Your daughter has learned (in time) a valuable lesson I think.

Just in case she HAS lost some cash - I have just over four and a half million Sterling in Lagos that some kind Nigerian lady is about to transfer to my bank account.

I will ask her to recompense your daughter if you let me have her bank account details.

Your post might be taken a little more seriously if it had contained the odd comma, question mark and full stop in the appropriate places.
