any ideas?Im assuming the original car would have been scrapped.
So failing to notify DVLA of the scrapping would be an offence i guess. Probably a £1000 pound fine.
Depends how he is selling the docs as well i think, if he is going to fill in the document and transfer it to anothers name like a sale then that is possibly an offence depending on what the new owner does with it all.

Here's a copy of what I sent to DVLC as you blatantly have no respect for the law or fellow classic car enthusiasts.
I would like to forward the information of one of your documents for investigation/deletion. This was offered for sale on ebay. As a classic car enthusiast, I feel it my perogative to stop fraud/theft of my fellows vehicles.
The item appeared on ebay and was item number 4515336215.
The car is currently registered to XXXXXXXX, XX FEARNLEY COURT, WOOLDALE, HOLMFIRTH, HD9 1UD
A brief description.
The car was first registered on 1st August 1977 and is on an "S" suffix. It is described as a LEYLAND CARS MINI 1275 GT on the log book. The colour is stated as black (although Minis often go through a colour change or several !) and there are 12 previous recorded keepers. The V5 is in my name.
I do hope you look into the matter and see that this vehicle is never register, as it no longer exists. In the description, the chap is rude to people telling him of the fine/jail sentence warned on the document.
I trust you will look into this.
