Speed Camera Q

I was flashed by a yellow box camera the other day, the type where they have the markings on the road to calculate the speed. Nothing strange with that you say, however, the camera was pointing at me from the other side of the road and my side of the road had no markings, they were painted on the other carrigeway. I'd just gone past a camera on my side 1/4 mile earlier.

Can I expect a ticket?

No. Gatso cameras aren't type-approved to flash oncoming drivers, only those driving away (i.e. on the same side of the road). It'll be a glitch in the Matrix or a test or something. Wouldn't worry.

However, if you would like to cause panic in the ranks of the camera cash lot, report the camera to local police as faulty, since it's not performing to type approval.Then stand back and await to have your bum severely washed by camera lot, to persuade you not to pass info on to press.
