Any servicing or ex BiB's got any belters of a story from someone they have stopped?
Just watching Police Interceptors and this chap was stopped at half 12 in the morning and when asked where he has been, "The beach" the Officer then pulls out a cage full of birds
I saw a car splash a queue outside of Blackfriars Railways Station. I stopped the car, walked around to the driver, threw open the door and then told the driver what I thought of her driving. After a few seconds, despite not being at my most attentive, I noticed a distinct lack of steering wheels in from of the woman. There was a spare one, I noticed, on the other side of the car. Just watching Police Interceptors and this chap was stopped at half 12 in the morning and when asked where he has been, "The beach" the Officer then pulls out a cage full of birds

What else could I do?
I told the woman: 'And you can tell all that to your driver.' and then walked off with as much dignity as I could muster. Which was not, as you can imagine, much.
Other stories are available. Please PM me.
Whilst training a friend of mine arrested someone for being in possession of a fruiting cannabis plant, when he got him back to the station it was pointed out that the plant was a tomato plant. That gem stayed with him until he moved to another station in the middle of nowhere.
6 months after he moved there I called in to visit him, he was not on duty but was due in in 15 mins so off I went. Driving down the road I saw him walking into work so I stopped for a chat. I thought it would be really funny to wind him up and pretend I'd told his new colleagues about the tomato plant incident (which I hadn't). He then went into work and explained it all to his new work mates who until that point had no clue. He moved again soon after.

Nothing to do with driving, but when I was tutoring I got wind of the fact that my next 'puppy' had been awarded a prize for being the smartest recruit at training school.
A few days after he arrived I told him the local paper wanted to do an article and photo of him, so he had better turn up in best bib and tucker the next day. He turned up positively gleaming.
He was interviewed at some length ( how DO you get your boots so shiny??)by a fawning 'reporter' and the photos were duly taken.
Only much much much later did he discover the reporter was a CID officer, and the photographer was from SOCO...even then he didn't believe it.
He was ex Army too.

WOW - and you wonder why people have no respect for the police.
Read what I said. A friend of mine. I'm no police man Columbo. Why is it there are so many people on PH that want a fight and will read anything they need into posts to stert one?
I do not want a fight, I just find it strange why you think its ok to have a go about someones family member on here (the sort of thing you see in the lounge) Looks like you wanted to start a fight by stepping over the line.
